What will you do as a Technical Business Process Analyst?

In this role, you are responsible for defining and improving the processes & applications that are owned by the IT department. These processes & applications again, support our Vopak business applications.
 

Therefore you will analyze both business- and supporting processes. You will challenge the current state and work on improvements. In your Agile scrum team(s), you are the linking pin between development, testing, UX-design and product management. However, you may find that solutions also come from external Software suppliers; then you work with them. You will link use cases and processes to user stories and make them happen. It is a hybrid role with your team members mainly located in Portugal, Netherlands & India.

What are the requirements for being a Technical Business Process Analyst?

As our new colleague, you are a real team player, customer-focused, and committed to realizing the best result for Vopak. With our ambition in mind, we are searching for candidates who are experienced with working in an internationally oriented company. And of course, you have:

  • 3 - 5 years of work experience in Process Improvement in a Software development environment. 

  • Experience in gathering requirements and implementations in a technical domain

  • Experience in Process Modeling Tools 

  • Experience in agile way of working

  • IT affinity, especially with SQL and APIs 

  • Fluent in English and good communication skills

  • International mindset

  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills

  • Customer-oriented, efficient, initiative-taking team worker who can analyze problems without losing sight of results and quality

  • Adaptive to changing priorities and -work conditions. 

  • Ability to operate in a complex environment and pro-actively connect with the many stakeholders

  • Inquisitive mindset

What are the core responsibilities?

  •  Collect, document, and maintain User Requirements Specifications and User Stories for the IT solutions that support our business applications, based on the detailed process models

  • Perform fit-gap analysis, specify change requests, and formally test and accept new or revised IT solutions;

  • Align with enterprise-, solution-, and data architects on mapping requirements to a suitable data model and solution design;

  •  Document and maintain detailed process descriptions for Vopak process management.
