Vopak is in the middle of its digital transformation journey by building a fit for purpose application landscape using the leading market technology platforms like OutSystems, MuleSoft and MongoDB. Vopak has been one of the early adopters of cloud based solutions and follows a cloud-first strategy for its IT landscape. The core integration service within Vopak is called DSL (Data Service Layer) and is built on top of MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (iPaaS) & MongoDB Atlas (DBaaS). Besides application integration, the API management offered by DSL is used to create a consistent, secured and safe way to expose Vopak data to different stakeholders that are part of its supply chain. Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or academic degree in computer science or other engineering discipline;

  • 3-5+ years IT experience with 1-2 years of Mulesoft 4.x development experience;

  • Experience with specifications like RAML/OAS/WSDL, Unit Testing, automation through CI/CD (Gitlab/GitHub/Jenkins etc) is a plus;

  • Knowledge of SOAP / Rest web services, Java, XML, XSD, JSON;

  • Knowledge about integration patterns like pub/sub , request/response etc;

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal);

  • Dedicated Team player with eye on quality and focus on delivery;

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Tasks & responsibilities:

The Integration Specialist is part of the DSL DevOps team that develops, deploys and maintains APIs & integration solutions. Besides hands-on development and testing of integration solutions, the Integration Specialist is expected to set the standard with regards to the Integration software development process and actively contribute to the continuous improvement of the team performance.

  • Together with Architects you'll develop the integration architecture to identify and specify the software components that fulfill the functional and non-functional requirements;

  • Responsible for developing enterprise level integration solutions for new applications and systems;

  • Support the product owner/scrum master by creating user stories, sizing them and planning the sprints;

  • Incrementally and iteratively develops and test integration solutions on the MuleSoft platform, in close cooperation with stakeholders;

  • Perform peer reviews on code developed by fellow team members and assess the conformance to the development standards and guidelines.

  • Perform operational and life cycle management activities like: platform upgrades, incident handling, service requests,  deployments, monitoring, disaster recovery etc.

  • As a DevOps team member, you will be providing out of office hours support on a rotational basis with applicable compensation.
