The Manager Internal Communications, together with the other 3 senior managers in the Global Communications & Investor Relations department (GCIR), is responsible for developing & implementing an internal communications strategic plan that creates alignment and engagement on Vopak's purpose and strategy by all Vopak employees. Each senior manager in the GCIR department has a specific background and responsibility; at the same time each senior manager is accountable for the overall global communications targets. GCIR employees work together in different compositions on project basis, depending on the skills required. Global projects are defined beforehand and will be led by one of the senior managers.
The Manager Internal Communications reports directly to the Global Director Communication. Are you in?
A driven Internal Communications professional with at least 5-7 years communication experience in an international environment;
Proven track record of developing and executing strategic communications plans for high-profile organization initiatives;
Overseeing the complete communications portfolio but specific expertise in internal communications (strategy and implementation), including knowledge of organizational development and change;
Strategic intellectual and professional level;
Native in English (written and spoken);
Impeccable editorial skills;
Ability to execute quickly and with precision; ability to increase effectiveness of communications;
Ability to develop conceptual, creative, out-of-the-box strategies and tactics that will support communications objectives;
Strong personal presence and comfortable interacting with senior leaders;
Knowledge of the range of communications vehicles, including new media;
Team player, self-starter, demonstrates ownership.

Tasks & responsibilities:
You're responsible for developing an annual Internal Communications strategic plan and defining key performance indicators and methods for measuring effectiveness;
You develop strategy, content and channels for engaging employees in the future of the company while providing context on short-term decisions and issues;
You advise, coach and facilitate senior leaders across the globe in effective and engaging communications with their employees and in their communications approach regarding identified business priorities;
You develop communications platforms that will inform, inspire and equip senior leaders to live the organization's values and create the environment for their teams to be successful;
You steer and support communications for global staff functions (HR, IT/Innovation, Legal & Compliance, Sales & Marketing, etc.) to achieve effective global communications and align messaging. Ensure that staff function communication provides a clear connection between their initiatives and Vopak's strategic priorities;
You provide guidance to the global communications network on priorities and key themes to ensure alignment of communications messages. Facilitate regular meetings/calls with the global communications network to ensure a steady two-way flow of information and a real-time assessment of the employee pulse worldwide;
You advise and facilitate communication managers and other colleagues in the divisions to implement local communications;
You enhance and strengthen the communication power of the organization: Equip global communications network with tools to address key communications challenges and respond to network requests on an as-needed basis;
Team manager: manage one Internal Communications colleague within your team.
