The SHE (Health, Safety and Environmental) Coordinator is responsbe for providing governance and ensuring compliance to process safety managermnet, occupational health & environment and security for a healthy, safe and positive workplace enviroment.
A Diploma or Degree is preferred.
3 to 5years experience in construction environment
Preferably certified in the following mandated courses:
Work-at-Heights Supervisor or Assessor
Supervise Work in Confined Space
Supervise Construction Work in WSH
Supervise WSH in Process Plant
Candidates must be self-motivated and driven able to work independently.
Good people skills/ interpersonal skills are essential.
Completed WSQ Advanced Certificate in WSH (Level B)

Tasks & responsibilities:
Continues monitoring of EPC contractor safety performance.
Establishing and maintaining a good working relationship and effective communication with other members of the Project Team.
Establishing and maintaining an effective relationship and good communication with the Project SHE team members.
Assist in daily site clearances/permitting and ensuring compliance of all permit conditions
Plan/conduct Safety Induction for new in-coming EPC employees
To carry out fire and safety inspections in the plant and conduct fire-fighting, anti-oil pollution and related emergency operations.
Ensuring that high standards of SHE are maintained for the duration of the project and that the SHE objectives for the Project is regularly communicated to personnel.
Report all near miss incidents and accidents, unsafe acts and unsafe conditions on site.
Support Senior/SHE Officer in the implementation of action plans identified through analysis of incidents reported.
Ensuring the implementation of a Permit to Work (PTW) system and PTW training for the commissioning and operation phases of the Project.
Monitoring, compiling and reporting SHE statistics to the Project Manager and Construction Manager as required.
Executing periodic site emergency exercises which includes participation of local emergency services.
