This position supports the growth of the Americas Operations and Technology Division team. Helps to govern and optimize Americas' Service & Operations, Asset Management, and SHE functions by implementing the company's standards framework, and digitization efforts in accordance with the Vopak's vision; liaises with all terminals and Division offices. Ensures the analysis and reporting of the functional data to the highest level of quality, and efficiency to an executive level.

Essential Job Functions

  • Abides by all safety procedures and practices applicable to location and position; participates in appropriate safety training; demonstrates commitment to and support of SHE (Safety, Health and Environmental) principles and values; champions safety

  • Provides Operational and Technical support and governance to all terminals and project sites in accordance with Vopak requirements and expectations

  • Divisional key user ME2 process

  • Supports/provide input to Divisional team for project delivery

  • Researches and incorporates 'best practices' into all technical aspects of 'projects' assigned

  • Coordinates operational and technical matters between Operating Companies (Opco) and Division office.

  • Develops and implements continuous improvement processes to improve analytics of operational, Maintenance and SHE functions.

  • Drive timely completion of projects; ensures consistency with demand, commercial department needs, and fiscal restraints

  • Monitor and evaluates operations and capital project proposals and budgets in accordance with investment requirements

  • Stays current on all Federal, state, local and Company operations and technical regulations and policies

  • Trains regularly on all Federal, state and local operations and technical requirements and guidelines

  • Performs other duties assigned by management that fall within the generally expected scope of this position

Experience Requirement

  • 5 to 10 years' experience in liquid terminal Operations, and Maintenance

  • 3 to 5 years in information systems management, data science, data analytics

  • 4-year college degree in Engineering or similar technical field

  • Advanced degree in technical or business field desirable

  • Experience in developing, evaluating, and analyzing complex amounts of information from technical systems/software and able to communicate it to an executive level

  • Experience in leading teams

  • Experience is writing Operational and Safety Procedures

  • Bilingual: English/ Spanish

  • Familiar with terminal automation and its processes

  • Familiar with regulatory requirements related to operational and technical compliance matters

  • Well familiar with industry standards and guidelines used in the terminal industry such as API, ANSI, NFPA, ISGOTT, OCIMF, etc.

  • Well versed in SHE risk assessment methodologies such as QRA, EIA, Hazops, etc.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently

  • Experience working in safety-critical environment; strong understanding of health, safety, environmental, and security principles

  • Experience working with relevant Federal, state and local regulations.

  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office suite, MS Project, various email and internet programs and applications.
