WHAT YOU'LL DO

This is a permanent & full time position based in Sydney and available for immediate start. This position will report to the Terminal Manager. 

The purpose of the role is to manage the operations associated with bulk liquid storage and distribution facilities and facilitate the overall planning and execution of maintenance and capital project works.  

Key responsibilities of the role (but not limited to):

  • Leading the overall site operations to ensure safe, reliable and continuous operations of the terminals
  • Leading, coaching and mentoring operations team members to achieve business priorities through allocating resources and effective management 
  • Ensuring compliance to all SHECQ requirements and standards are maintained within the terminal and possible improvements are identified and implemented where required
  • Ensuring all internal and external product transfers are completed according to client requirements and internal processes and standards
  • Providing  trouble shooting support for the  internal / external pipeline transfers of product into and out of the Terminal
  • Ensuring proper usage of the CRM and Customer Gauge system
  • Leading minor operations projects and improvement ideas 
  • Developing and executing shutdown plans 
  • Leading any SHECQ or customer service related investigations as required
  • Coordinating various audits for SHECQ, customer and product quality

  • Have a tertiary qualification/s in engineering or operations management
  • Have relevant work experience in 24/7 operations
  • Have 2-5 years of experience in leading a team
  • Possess strong business acumen and people skills
  • Have excellent customer service skills
  • Able to collaborate with others to achieve common goals
  • Be resilient within dynamic situations
  • Demonstrate effective internal and external stakeholder management
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Having experience in the Bulk Liquid Storage industry, Petrochemical industry or in a Major Hazard Facility will be considered favourably
