This role will be responsible for effectively managing the administrative functions of the Human Resources department to promote exceptional customer service to the internal customers of the company.

Essential Job Duties 

  • Assist with all HR administrative and clerical duties, onboarding and new hire processing, manage HR scheduling of interviews and meetings

  • Process employee job changes and validation of supervisory organization assignments

  • Enters and retrieves personnel transactions and/or insurance information systems

  • Files and maintains employment applications, personnel records and related files

  • Assists with the development of various activities such as job fairs, training and development workshops, labor relations, and payroll processing

  • Keeps abreast of applicable human resources rules, regulations, policies and procedures pertinent state/federal rules and regulations

  • Prepares, reviews, monitors, audits, explains and processes correspondence, reports, forms, transactions and maintains confidentiality of sensitive issues

  • Reconciles and completes monthly reports and generates HR reports and metrics and analyzes trends

  • Assist and troubleshoots in the leave of absence process and acts as a liaison between employees and Benefits/Payroll 

  • Maintains electronic personnel files

  • Submits and tracks various employee payments including but not limited to education reimbursement, severance, etc.

  • Manages pre-employment and onboarding processes in partnership with Recruiting, including I-9 administration

  • Provides payroll support by monitoring time approvals, effectively and accurately processes the company's bi-weekly payroll, including auditing time, processing new hires and employee changes, and year end responsibilities as needed

  • Leverage  analytical abilities to effectively collect, assess, document, summarize and present data related to talent acquisition, retention and other critical HR-related processes

  • Provides assistance to resolve employee benefits issues and work with Benefit Administrator to resolves more complex problems such as but not limited to eligibility matters, contested benefits, and service problems

  • Become an expert user for HRIS transactions, including onboarding and off-boarding, workflow forms, regular and ad hoc reporting, and other data validation or reporting exercises

  • Assist with HR projects and talent development initiatives

  • Performs all administrative duties to support the Human Resources team

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent work experience.

  • At least 1-3 years' experience applying HR fundamental concepts, practices and procedures

  • Experience in an HR related field with proven experience in ADP WorkforceNow or a related HRIS/Payroll system.

  • Excellent ability to solve problems and meet deadlines by juggling multiple, competing and changing priorities.

  • Strong data entry skills and knowledge of report writing tools 

  • High level of interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of personnel, as well as external suppliers and organizations.

  • Ability to prepare and deliver effective presentations.

  • Knowledge of basic human resource guidelines and skills

  • Familiarity with a payroll system  

  • Utilization of Microsoft excel/word programs with efficiency

  • Ability to multitask in a high-paced and at times stressful environment

  • Excellent verbal communication and written skills

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Professionalism with a positive workplace attitude
