As a casual on call wharf operator, you will be offered shifts based on operational demand. The core responsibilities of the role are to perform all activities relating to the transfer of products between wharves and receiving liquid terminals.
Should you be successful, your core activities will involve:
Preparing for receipt of ocean going tankers at bulk liquids berths
Connecting and disconnecting of marine loading arms/hoses to ocean going tankers
Performing routine safety and operational checks prior to, during and after the transfer of products
Monitoring quality of product continuously during the transfer of products
Communicating essential information to stakeholders throughout transfer operations
Carrying out pipeline draining & clearance operations including pigging operations from the wharf to the terminal
WHO YOU ARE
You are a highly motivated self-starter that can function effectively as part of a team
You have a positive can-do attitude with the ability to show initiative to get a job done safely and efficiently with others
You have experience working with tools and are able to work in an outdoor environment at any time of day
You have experience working shift work
Your trade and/or experience within the mining and Oil & Gas sectors would be well regarded
