In this role you are responsible for defining, improving and innovating the business processes. Analyze and challenge current states, and work on improvements. You are the liaison between the Vopak demand organization at both corporate and divisional level and our IT solution delivery teams. You will link business use cases towards user stories and make them happen. It is a hybrid role, combining your eagerness to improve processes, your knowledge of business processes and your experience to run projects with multiple stakeholders with good results.

Your three main missions

‘You'll have a hybrid role combining IT experience with process knowledge on logistics processes'

‘You'll take responsibility to analyze current state business organization, define process improvements and translate process requirements into clear IT requirements with user stories to make it happen'

‘You'll ensure the solutions created are according to specifications by performing testing and supporting the user acceptance testing'

Who we are looking for:

As our new colleague you are a real team player, customer focussed and committed to realise the best result for Vopak. With our ambition in mind we are searching for candidates who are experienced with working in an international oriented company. And of course you have:

  • Track record in Process improvements;
  • Hands on experience in end to end software life cycle, from design to implementation;
  • Customer oriented, efficient, initiative taking team worker who is able to analyze problems without losing sight of result and quality;
  • Eagerness for investigating and applying new innovations to support process improvements in proof of concepts and pilots;
  • Master degree (intersection IT/Business);
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience in IT delivery, preferably in the logistics supply chain or processes like Order to Cash or Operations.
  • Competences: Fluent in writing and speaking English, able to work in a challenging environment with multiple stakeholders, strong conceptual and analytical skills, good communication skills, critical thinker;
  • Certified in LEAN;
  • Experience in Process Modeling languages;
  • Experience with data modelling and data architecture
  • Experience with API's; define, design and functional integration testing
  • Experience in agile way of working;
  • International mindset, willingness to travel.

Your job in bullet points:

  • Collect, document and maintain User Requirements Specifications and User Stories for the IT capabilities based on the detailed process models;
  • Perform fit-gap analysis, specify change requests and formally test and accept new or revised IT solutions;
  • Align with enterprise-, solution-, and data architects on mapping requirements to a suitable data model and solution design;
  • Document and maintain detailed business process descriptions for Vopak process management.

Working in the city of Castelo Branco or Coimbra, Portugal

Our head office is located in Rotterdam, Europe's biggest port and one of the Netherlands' most innovative cities. Our locations Castelo Branco and Coimbra  are an extension of our Global IT department in Rotterdam. We believe in a healthy balance between working from home and working together with your colleagues in the office.
