What will you do as a Terminal Manager?

 As a Terminal Manager you lead the terminal management team compromising Operations, Maintenance and CS/Logistics. You drive SHEQ standards and proactive SHE Culture in the terminal. You manage the CAPEX budget, scoping and implementation. As a TM you will hold Directorship and being a member of BOD of the company. In addition, this position also serves as a Migas Technical Head (Kepala Teknik) who is responsible for the terminal’s safety.

What do we expect from you as a Terminal Manager?

• 10 years of relevant operational/technical experience in the tank terminal or process industry with minimum 5 years experience in manager role.

• Good knowledge of operations, site, and terminal capability.

• Good product knowledge of operations and safety.

• Keen awareness of underlying customer needs and prevailing industry/market trends and practices.

• Ability to manage multiple party communication and operate under stress.

• Depth and breadth of general managerial experience.

• Demonstrated leadership and people management of large teams.

Your core responsibilities are:

• Lead terminal management team comprising Operations, Maintenance and CS/Logistics.

• Overall accountability for all activities in the terminal.

• Drive SHEQ standards and Proactive SHE Culture in the terminal.

• Manage terminal operating expenses / CAPEX budget, scoping and implementation.

• Develop Terminal Master Plan for future business needs.

• Execute projects managed by terminal.

• Sustaining continuous improvement effort, through organizing for problem solving and involving the line organization.

• Drive continuous improvements initiatives through innovation and value creation.

• Lead in the implementation of organizational objectives and initiatives.

• Optimize terminal efficiency, drive productivity.

• Ensure smooth interactions with key external customers.

• Ensure smooth interactions between departments.

• Manage key inter-departmental working relationships.

• Facilitate and grow internal capability (breadth and depth development of skills and knowledge of personnel) by ensuring long term development of personnel across the organization to ensure optimal resource allocation.

• Assures compliance of all terminal operations with company standards policies as well as laws & regulations.

• Drive pro-active service culture in the terminal.

• Achieve and maintain Terminal Health as in Vopak THA requirement.
