What will you do as a Safety Engineer?
As a Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for providing support and guidance to improve operational and SHE performance through the extraction of data for analysis, predicting trends for prioritization of actions and incorporating analysis into execution.

What do we expect from you as a Safety Engineer?
Degree in engineering discipline such as Chemical Engineering / Safety Engineering / Safety, Health & Environmental related courses
Minimum 8 years working experience in the oil, gas or petrochemical industry or familiarity with process safety management
At least 5 years of relevant experience in SHEQ program administration
Able to analyze and conduct critical thinking to identify gaps and improvements required
Understand and advise SHE requirements to employees and contractors
Abie to conduct training across various demographics
Able to perform investigations and develop well-written investigation reports
Proficient in Electronic systems, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Your core responsibilities are:
Provide governance and support the terminals in safety case submission and ongoing verification by the authorities
Ensure governance of the Safety Case process by implementing and communicating the framework
Lead the terminals in Safety Case maintenance and submission including facilitating Revision Plans (RPs) inclusion and following through on the closure of the Intervention Plans (IPs)
Drive and support the terminals in compliance with the process safety management (PSM) system as per Singapore’s MHI regulations
Fluent with MOM’s safety acts and regulations
Monitor and drive improvement against SHE targets
Support process safety aspects in projects and commercial enquiries, when required
Assist the SHE Manager to verify terminals’ compliance with process and personnel safety legal and corporate requirements
Support and guide terminal teams to improve SHE performance to meet the organizations objectives
Lead and support the terminals in process hazard major hazard risk assessment e.g. QRA, HAZOP, What-If, LOPA, SIL
Lead in major Hazard Risk Assessments and Process Safety Reviews
Monitor the action closures required from assessments and reviews
Identify trends to predict the latest possible issues affecting safety performance. Extract data for reporting and analysis
Analyze present SHE performance and recommend improvements
Act as the Sustainability Reporting Coordinator and performs the required data collation, analysis, reporting and reviews
Update and maintain the SHE department’s information databases and dashboards
Act as the Administrator for SHE Electronic Systems.
Oversee the management of SHE documents and records
Support and guide on compliance to the organization’s SHE Management Systems and corporate standards
Monitor the SHE performance and engage the terminal stakeholders to act
Support the terminals in improvements in process and personnel safety management
Build and maintain good relations between terminals for mutual assistance and facilitate sharing of experiences and information
