As Project Engineer Tanks you prepare project details, scope engineering documents and cost estimates for the execution of the planned tank maintenance works together with (main) contractors and other departments and disciplines.
Requirements
Bachelor/Master degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field;
Proven track record in a project engineering position, preferably in the field of storage tanks or in a related industry;
Project management experience is preferred;
Self-motivated to ‘close the loop’ with actions and administrative responsibilities;
Verifiable knowledge of EEMUA publ. 159 and/or API 653 is required;
Fluency in Dutch and adequate level of English;
Able to build and maintain both internal and external relations on various levels;
Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in written;
Proven safety leadership and service mindedness;
Competences: self-motivated, flexible, stress resistant, result driven, team player, humour.

Your role as Project Engineer Tanks
Prepare RFC in close cooperation with terminal’s construction department and contractors;
Responsible for coordination of procurement and or contracting of materials and services together with internal specialists;
Governance on quality and legal and or safety requirements during the whole tank maintenance project including execution;
Responsible for handover the project to operational domain and ensure closure of project including timely completing of tank files;
Support the preparation of technical proposals for improvements of technical installations;
Assist in the technical assessment of installations to establish a technical state of current and new installations including Fit for Purpose declarations;
Support or promote innovations, new products and methods related to tanks;
Support the terminals in issues related to tanks and tank maintenance;
Interacts with other initiatives for example in Risk Based Inspection meetings or budget cycle;
Contributes to standardized way of working over terminals and within team;
Responsible for leading project evaluations and Management of Change.
Responsible for safety, quality, progress and cost control and reporting during the project*
Responsible for leading change process in case of scope changes
Proactively identifies risks and seeks for mitigation in order to create ‘flow’
Initiate continual improvement to current practices, processes or (technical)project activities.
Evaluate and explore new technology for innovative solutions.
