What will you do as a Project Engineer (1 year)?
As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the governance of the project, including the development of the technical scope, alignment with the Project team and Internal Customer to translate the project requirements into a service delivery.

Your core responsibilities are:
To review the technical documentation
To analyze historical SOW for preventive maintenance and cost
To analyze historical failure, bad actors and cost
To analyze historical overhaul activity and cost
To identify coming obsolescence
To suggest preventive maintenance scope of work modification
To suggest corrective maintenance budget
To suggest overhaul timeline and scope
To elaborate list of spare parts
To consider equipment criticality based on asset criticality register
To consider OEM recommendation
To identify available contractors
To source quotations for above scope
Based on the information above, to evaluate commercial risk
To elaborate technical and commercial proposals to maintain equipment
Leading and in control of the project “elaboration of technical and commercial proposals for preventive, corrective maintenance, overhaul activities and necessary spare parts.” as an plant operator (BCSS) representative
As an plant operator (BCSS) representative, design review and in depth knowledge in technical documentation interpretation and ability to identify the improvement required for operation and maintenance
Being the focal point and gaining the confidence of different stakeholders involved in the project
Progress reporting and updating of the management team on regular basis
Participation and improvement in the safety culture, and other initiative projects
Contribute to the development of annual and longer-term business plans, forecast performance against business key performance indicators, develop business case for new projects and estimate financial and resources required to deliver performance targets
Manage department resources on supporting terminal operations or company on ad hoc projects and activities
Drive energy and cost saving effort in line with organization sustainability goals
Lead Operations manpower deployment, resource planning and shift scheduling,
Manage the Operations annual budget plan and quarterly latest estimates reporting, and drive cost-consciousness results in all matters of operations
Support in Commercial Inquiry from the Commercial team on the feasibility of a new product or project
Monitor and review operations on site are carried out in accordance with safety, health, environment and loss preventive policies, rules, regulations and according to company’s standards
Take action to improve performance and to resolve non-compliance in accordance with SHE policies, procedures and ensure company’s standards are met
Ensure operations employees are trained on SHE and regulatory training to perform their roles effectively
Drive for continuous safety performance for operations employees and contractors
Ensure that terminal operations meet SHE standards and Proactive SHE Culture, Vopak fundamentals and standards are adhered to by the Operations teams.
Lead team discipline in VF and compliance
Employ innovative and critical-thinking in optimising processes, procedures and implement initiatives that create value in creating enhanced effectiveness and efficiency in the organisation
Create and implement continuous improvement and self-directing organisation that aligns with the values of the Company
Act as the Process Owner of all SWP and SWI
Act as the Process Owner of Stock Management & Accuracy
Ensure the Process Safety Risk Management
Manage LOPC and/or Product Contamination / Quality Incidents and mitigation plans
Ensure operations procedures are available, regularly reviewed, updated and executed
Train on people development and training recommendations to ensure Operations personnel’s competencies
Ensure operations employees are competent to perform the assigned tasks
Drive organisational development by focusing on people development, organisational discipline and systemising processes and procedures
Promote employee engagement opportunities and continually elevate positive organisational team dynamics within and across functions
Proactively handle employee relations concerns in the Operations department
Ensure in depth and ongoing personal performance review and development planning with all team members
Mentor and counsel team members
Ensure proper on the job training time and materials for joiners
Provide industry, business, product training relevant for the job
Ensure appropriate daily team staffing and back-up system
Manages, motivates and develops staff in the terminal operations teams
