Position Summary
This position supports, governs and owns the Maintenance to Operate (M2O) process, one of the eight One Vopak Experience (OVE) main processes. Ensures optimal execution of the operating Capex and maintenance programs which includes the different types of sustaining projects. All in accordance with the Vopak standards, industry and local regulations. Liaises primarily with Technical and Terminal Managers of each Operating Company (OPCO), mainly on technical, engineering matters in the Asset Management Domain, provides technical support guidance and liaison with other SMEs in the company. Continually review and drive improvement of asset management policy & procedures in line with changes in legislation and industry best practices; implement appropriate processes to ensure compliance with the relevant requirements and drive performance improvements. Ensures the highest level of safety, quality, efficiency and competitiveness in the domain. Is a member of the Vopak Global Asset Management Leadership team.
Requirements:
4 year college degree in Engineering or similar technical field
Advanced degree in technical or business field preferred
10-15 years’ experience in maintenance and project management experience in the development, design, construction, commissioning, operations and maintenance of liquid or gas terminals, refinery or petrochemical plant
Experience in developing and evaluating capital investment proposals
Experience in leading teams
Familiar with terminal automation and its processes
Familiar with regulatory requirements related to operational and technical compliance matters
Well familiar with industry standards and guidelines used in the terminal industry such as API, ANSI, NFPA, ISGOTT, OCIMF, etc.
Experience in Jetty operations for gas and liquid tankers not essential but preferred
Well versed in SHE risk assessment methodologies such as QRA, EIA, Hazops, etc.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
Experience working in safety critical environment; strong understanding of health, safety, environmental, and security principles
Experience working with relevant Federal, state and local regulations in the USA.
Excellent data analytics skills, basic use knowledge of industry applications for data visualization and analysis
Excellent computer skills in Office suites e.g. Google, Microsoft, an other computer based applications
Ability to travel regionally and internationally.
Ability to read, write and speak English fluently. Ability to read and speak Spanish is highly preferred.

Task & Responsibilities:
Abides by all safety procedures and practices applicable to location and position; participates in appropriate safety training; demonstrates absolute commitment to and support of SHE (Safety, Health and Environmental) principles and values; champions safety as necessary
Responsible for leading and producing the final submittal for the annual budgeting process of the 3YMP (Three Year Maintenance Plans) of the Operating Capex. This includes understanding, supporting and overseeing all Asset Management related topics.
Ensure sounding operational and maintenance requirements based on required inspections and risk assessments, according to industry, Vopak standards, and local regulations. Interacts with the Global Operations & Technology organization to review and update company standards for local deployment and implementation.
Review the Operating Capex and Maintenance & Repair Opex expenditures of the division; produce analysis of trends, provide feedback/advice and report to the Division Management Team. Prepare divisional monthly and quarterly reports on Asset Management domain.
Supports the OpCos to identify Terminal asset investment requirements based on asset lifecycle planning, risk management to help develop robust business cases leading to the submission of capital investment proposals.
Review investment proposals (SIP/FIP) providing advice for endorsement of the Management team.
Research for innovative technologies, pilot test them, and support further approval and implementation.
Supports (IT/OT) domain in evaluating optimal integration of programs and systems to the facilities, as per Vopak standards and system’s blue prints
Lead the deployment of the Maintenance Improvement programs (MIP) that works with the Enterprise Asset Management system (EAM-INFOR) as part of the installation of the mission of a data-driven culture.
Support Terminal Health Assestments (THA), other technical audit and reviews in accordance with Vopak requirements.
Support the investigations of asset failures, participate in root cause analysis and tripods.
Development of the Americas Asset Management community in terms technical skills requirements, body of knowledge of the domain and processes.
Coaching/Mentoring of peers and regional/local employees where necessary. Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships and networking internally and externally
