What will you do as a Manager Customer Service & Planning?

As Manager Customer Service & Planning you lead our Customer Service and Planning department to deliver exceptional service to customers within Vopak Rotterdam-Europoort. You'll manage a team of customer service representatives and planners/schedulers who handle customer programs from order acceptance to infrastructure planning & scheduling.

  • A gross salary between € 97.447 - €127.901 depending on your experience, knowledge and seniority in the role;

What do we expect from you as a Manager Customer Service & Planning?

  • An University/ HBO+ level degree;

  • A minimum of 3 years of team leadership experience and a background in operations;

  • Experience in oil, chemicals and/or (bio)fuels;

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Dutch;

  • Strong negotiation skills to build win-win relationships;

  • Able to analyze data and situations to make informed decisions;

  • Inspire and motivate your team to achieve greatness;

  • As a person you are entrepreneurial, energetic, self-motivated, hands-on, and results-oriented;

What does your day look like?

Delivering outstanding customer service is your obsession. You'll build and maintain senior relationships with customers, collaborating with Commercial and Operations departments to drive improvement projects and boost customer satisfaction. Also you attract, lead, and develop a high-performing team that achieves departmental goals.The Manager Customer Service & Planning reports to the Site Director and is a valued member of the Site team,  and is playing a key role in shaping our service strategy.

Your core responsibilities are:

  • Improve processes for best-in-port customer service and optimal planning using data-driven insights to continuously;

  • Collaborate with the Management Team to set service strategy, targets, and budgets, fostering a service culture across the organization;

  • Developing and implementing service improvement plans, evaluating service levels through operational reviews, customer surveys, and complaint analysis;

  • Developing Service Level Expectations with customers and track performance using KPI dashboards;

  • Maintaining strong relationships with third parties like shipping companies, hauliers, and agents;
