The Maintenance Supervisor/Planner is a busy role where no two days are the same and you will have the ability to directly positively impact the operations of our Darwin Terminal.

What will you do as a Maintenance Supervisor/Planner?

The Maintenance Supervisor/Planner is an essential role in ensuring the assets of our Darwin Terminal are well maintained and enable Vopak to deliver the highest quality product and service to our customers. This is achieved by delivering an effective Maintenance Management strategy through accurate planning and efficient execution of the maintenance program. Reporting to the Project and Maintenance Engineer in Darwin, success in this role will require you to work in close collaboration with the Operations team and contractors.

What do we expect from you as a Maintenance Supervisor/Planner?

  • A trade certified background would be highly regarded, ideally in Industrial Mechanics, Fitter and Turner, etc

  • At least two years’ experience in not only building on the current maintenance plan/strategy, but also the safe, efficient delivery on that maintenance plan

  • Previous experience in procurement activities, particularly in a professional environment using CRM software, budget control and corporate governance would be highly regarded

  • Proven ability to manage contractors to ensure work is completed on time and to the highest safety standards

  • A sound understanding of bulk tank storage principles when maintaining a Major Hazard Facility in particular chemicals including petroleum products and sulfuric acid

  • Examples of where you have lead and implemented actions that have directly resulted in positive safety outcomes.
     

Your core responsibilities are:

  • Ensure all maintenance activities are completed with the highest levels of safety.

  • Participate in ongoing safety activities across the terminal

  • Scope all maintenance activities and build a maintenance strategy that ensures all assets are safe and fit for purpose, shutdowns and critical maintenance work is coordinated and meets our operational delivery requirements.

  • Ensure all Vopak standards are met in relation to maintenance activities, safety and procurement

  • Direct site supervision for all site maintenance and minor projects, particularly external contractors.

  • Ensure all necessary components are purchased with sufficient lead time
