In your role as IT Platform engineer you will be working with a team of other talented infrastructure platform engineers and architects. Your team working on building, maintaining and enhancing our cloud-based environment, which delivers fully automated infrastructure services to both internal teams and beyond. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including our IT service delivery organization, data analytics and integration teams to build and maintain a cohesive and secure IT ecosystem. Together with your colleagues you will drive innovation, digitization, and optimization of our IT landscape.

What do we expect from you as an IT Platform Engineer?
We’re looking for an energetic IT Engineer who thrives in complex cloud environments and excels at solving technical challenges in global business projects. The ideal candidate will have:
At least 3 years as a Platform Engineer, Infrastructure Automation Specialist or DevOps engineer with significant experience with scripting and/or programming languages for the automation of IT infrastructure (e.g Python, Bash, PowerShell, Ansible, Rundeck)
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform, Cloudformation)
Knowledge and experience with (hybrid) cloud services (e.g. AWS EC2, RDS, ECS, ELB, Lambda and Nutanix)
Experience with containerization technologies is a big plus (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
Familiar with Git and managing CI/CD pipelines
Experience with Linux system administration is a big plus
A proactive approach to exploring new technologies and implementing forward-thinking solutions
Platform engineering: Design, deploy, and manage robust infrastructure solutions primarily on AWS and Nutanix, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
Automation & scripting: Develop and implement REST APIs, automation workflows and configuration management scripts to streamline infrastructure deployment and management.
Infrastructure optimization: Modernize legacy systems for optimal cloud performance, maximizing resource efficiency and ensuring cost-effective operations.
Collaboration: Work closely with other agile cross-functional teams, including our IT service delivery organization, data analytics and integration teams, to build and maintain a cohesive and secure IT ecosystem.
Documentation & best practices: Document configurations, standards, and best practices to maintain consistency and compliance across the infrastructure.
