As a VTVLA Implementation Lead, it’s an interesting time for you to come on board at Vopak! Vopak is in the process of replacing her service delivery business application (PEPI) with a newly developed solution named MyServices. The coming year MyServices need to be implemented at the Vopak Vlaardingen terminal. The candidate has an excellent track record in implementation projects, understands the terminals’ interest in terms of business continuity and service improvement and is a natural authority in guiding the terminals with their implementations. What will you do as an Implementation Lead?
The implementation lead will be responsible for the implementation of new product groups within the terminal as well. By example the implementation of biofeedstocks, FOOD/FEED and treatment systems.
Also ‘You’ll be responsible for implementation of MyService at VTVLA including alignment with the global Moves team, resource management, risk management and benefits realization tracking’. Supporting the terminal departments in planning their preparations and actual implementation by providing them methodology, templates, and hands on support within the departments’ will be part of your responsibilities as well.
Finally you’ll mediate between the terminal and the global Moves team in relation with balancing required local business changes and valuing possible functional change requests by the terminal ’

What do we expect from you as a Implementation Lead?
Background in Operations, Customer Services and/or IT is preferable.
Proven track record in implementation of business applications in operational and CS environments.
Knowledge of the Vopak service delivery process (OVE) and solutions, including relevant integration aspects.
Acquainted with Vopak’s operational standards like Product Movement, Stock Management.
Proven project management track record, including quality assurance, planning, scope management and budget controls.
Able to organize and structure the projects in a dynamic environment.
Enthusiastic leader who is able to steer on results while motivating and supporting his teams.
Operates as trusted advisor with organizational sensitivity towards all stakeholders.
Language Dutch and English.
What does your day look like?
You will be working with a Globall team of at least 2 roll-out consultants and the 1 projectmanager. Depending the implementation plan that you will deliver, we will adjust the team compositions on a need basis. You will be reporting to the Site Director Vlaardingen and are a member of the terminal steering committee during the implementation phase. You will gather the best practices and use them at the VTVLA terminal. You will be the spider in the web, ensuring on time delivery and first time right implementation at the VTVLA and alignment over the terminal teams and the global Moves team. You are the linking pin between local departments, Global Implementation Manager (Moves) and the steering committee.
Your core responsibilities are:
ensuring on time delivery and first time right implementation of MyService at the VLA terminal
alignment over the terminals teams and the global Moves team regarding actions, gaps, etc.
project risk management and benefits realization tracking & reporting.
Monitors and execute in closing the concluded OVE gaps from the pre-assessments.
Project & amp; change management standards, methodologies and processes: ensure you use and adhere together with the terminal departments and local Global rollout teams.
Functional governance for evaluation of functional terminal requests on basis of Vopak policies and standards, business necessity, software development efforts and project impact.
Advises to terminal Site Team and steering committee on readiness at defined stage gates of the project.
Knowledge management: builds knowledge as we go, for the benefit of following Implementations (within the Netherlands).
