WHO YOU ARE

To be successful in this role candidates must be able to demonstrate:

  • A strong professional ethics with high integrity
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • High level of planning and organisational skills
  • Passionate about people and driving positive employee experience and development
  • A proven track record of managing successful change, transformation and engagement projects
  • Working knowledge of ER/IR laws, Awards, the Fair Work Act and National Employment Standards
  • Certified HR with 10 years of experience in MNC environment and 6 years in business partnering/leadership roles
  • A degree in HR Management or other business disciplines

WHAT YOU’LL DO

This is a key role in the organisation partnering with management and leadership teams in leading and overseeing HR initiatives and activities for the country.

This is a Sydney based permanent role, reporting to the Managing Director.

Tasks include but are not limited to the following:

  • Leading and implementing local HR strategy and initiatives that align with global/division HR whilst supporting country business objectives
  • Driving talent acquisition, development, retention, including performance management, and succession planning
  • Leading, engaging and driving local HR agenda/initiatives with management & leadership teams
  • Developing and monitoring local functional or operational policies, ensuring compliance to local regulations and aligning with the business needs
  • Identifying latest HR developments and providing suitable interpretation to all levels of the organisation
  • Building and fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders (employees, unions, government bodies and vendors)
  • Managing and providing effective leadership to the local HR team 
  • Collaborating with Asia Middle East HR Community to identify and implement people initiatives that support the organisational strategy
