What will you do as Global Corporate Communications Manager?
 

As a Corporate Communications Lead, you play an instrumental role in the execution of Vopak’s global narrative and brand strategy across all internal and external channels. Together with VP Communication you develop and drive a long-term vision for content strategy, media engagement, and executive visibility to support our business priorities. In addition, you manage and lead high-stakes reputation and crisis communications, providing strategic guidance to Business Units and senior leadership to ensure a consistent and impactful corporate identity worldwide.

Your core responsibilities are:

• External Relations and media: Act as a credible spokesperson and lead external communications, managing media inquiries, press release preparation and distribution.

• Build relationships with top-tier international business and industrial media.

• Reputation and crisis management: Act as the strategic lead for crisis communications and change management, partnering with the VP of Communications to navigate high-stakes situations.

• Strategic global alignment: Develop and execute company-wide communication plans that align Vopak’s business priorities.

• Brand stewardship and positioning: Define and safeguard Vopak’s global brand identity, ensuring all visual and narrative elements consistently reflect the company's purpose. Provide frameworks that enable regional teams to localize the brand while maintaining global consistency.

• Executive visibility and thought leadership: Build proactive visibility plans for Executive Board, EVPs and BU Presidents, including the development of speeches, stakeholder programs, and media presence.

• Functional Guidance: Partner with BU communication teams to align regional activities with global priorities, fostering a culture of collaboration and best-practice sharing.
   

What do we expect from you as a Global Corporate Communications Manager ?

• A Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism or a related field.

• 7+ years of work experience in corporate communications within multinational companies, preferably in the energy sector.

• Exceptional writing and editing skills with a focus on high-quality, international content (digital, broadcast, and print).

• Leadership qualities and the ability to influence senior stakeholders and business units.

• Proven ability to provide strategic counsel and lead crisis/reputation management in high-stakes situations.

• Strong ability to build relationships and provide strategic counsel to senior executives and international business units.

• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Dutch is highly preferred.
