What will you do as a Finance Manager

As a Finance Manager you lead a team of Finance and Procurement professionals.  Responsible for effective organization and execution of the financial function and Procurement Management. Accountable for statutory, secretarial compliance at company registry, advise & ensure effective risk control management is in place and provide consultation and advisory support to the management team.

What do we expect from you as a Finance Manager

  • Degree in Charted accountancy or equivalent with 8-10 years of financial management experience with managerial responsibility.
  • Strong analytical skills,
  • Good knowledge in multi-disciplinary areas to develop sound financial model and internal control.
  • Effective organization skills.
  • Excellent Numeracy skills
  • Strong budget management skills, knowledge in Tax compliance.
  • Resilient in upholding corporate governance & statutory requirements
  • Sound oral and written knowledge of English.
  • Ability to challenge the business and find better alternatives.
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Must be a team player.
  • Confidence with information technology.
  • Effective business insight
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft applications.

Your core responsibilities are:

As Finance Manager, you lead a team of 5 colleagues. Provide support and advice to management team by means of performing financial analysis. Accountable for arranging project financing & budget. Procurement Management, Responsible for effective organization and execution of the financial function with in VHFL.

SAFETY :

Ensure the safety and quality in all Financial related process in alignment with the SHEQ policy and standards.

During emergency performs Gold command role as derived in ERP.

Active involvement and ability to manage part of the Management of Change process

STRATEGY:

Involve with the Management Team in setting and realising the strategy and targets of VHFL. Formulate Finance plan in line with VHFL strategy. Ensure VHFL financial plans are aligned with global F & C policies and procedures.

PLANNING:

Accountable for timely delivery of monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reports. - Ensure timely claim recovery & prompt follow-up on Insurance claim. - Monitor and followup on the findings and actions of internal & external audits. Ensure periodic board, coordination committee meetings are conducted.

ADVICE :

Ensure quality of advice, support and impact on VHFL budgets, investments plans.

Ensure quality of advice on performance measurement/ cash flow improvement and profitability reporting of VHFL. Quality advice about secretarial requirement compliance.

Responsible for training, assessing and information sharing of his team.

SERVICE:

Ensure internal customer clarity on rage of services within department

Provide and involve in Service Improvement / awareness programs of VHFL.

CONTROL:

Ensure uniformity and consistency in use of Finance systems and processes

Ensure compliance with external financial rules (IFRS) and legislation, company polices and standards. Ensure accurate forecasts regarding operating results and capital expenditure

Effort to optimized planning/ budget cycles.

Ensure compliance with internal and external procurement legislation, company policies and standards. Contribute to the implementation and monitoring of corporate and local governance requirements. Assist general manager in the various financial approval processes with the coordination committee, JV board.

CONTACT:

Contribution to Image of VHFL with customers and stakeholders. Internal network, JV partners, key stakeholders global, regional, local Close collaboration with VHFL Management team.  Close coordination with auditors, external consultants, banks
