Your role and impact:

As our Electrical & Instrumental (E&I) Engineer, you will be responsible for the complete electrical and instrumentation engineering activities, costing estimate as per code and standard. This requires good knowledge in instrument systems (DCS, ESD, F&G) and functional analysis (Control, ESD, F&G).

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing, reviewing, and validating of engineering specifications, datasheet and technical drawings. 

  • Drive project development and executions in strict compliance with Vopak Project Management (VPM) and Vopak SHE standards, and within schedule, budget and quality standard specifications.

  • Prepare equipment specifications and sizing for all engineering developments.  

  • Coordinate with technical and design institutes, Vopak engineering resources and external contractors for project executions. 

  • Participate in the resolution of issues such as conflicting design requirements and materials. 

  • Intermediary between Vopak and external customers from the technical and operational stance, prior and through all phases of projects. 

  • Responsible for technical supports and advice for terminal O&M, Procurement, and Construction functions.

  • Provide technical inputs and justifications for HAZOP, MHD & QRA requirements.

  • Carry out Technical Bid Evaluation, Issue Technical Bid Clarifications, Technical Evaluation Reports and Recommendations. 

  • Responsible for E&I costing for new business opportunities, including modification and expansion projects. 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical or Control Instrumentation Engineering with minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical sector.

  • Familiar and experienced with brown field project-related works, and good working knowledge of all phases of project development and execution.

  • Conversant with International Standards such as API, ASME, ANSI, OCIMF, NFPA, IEC, NEC, ISA, IP, Singapore Standard Code of Practice

  • Well versed in SCADA, DCS, PLC programming, HV Transmission and LV Distribution Power system, ATG System and TAS System

  • Fair knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.

  • Ability to manage multiple party communications and operate under stress.

  • Positive stakeholder management capabilities and ability to multitask. 

  • Detail-oriented team leader who can consistently meet deadlines and possess aptitude to work well independently.

  • Individual with strong numerical, proficiency in MS Excel and analytical acumen.
