Job Profile Summary
As a part of the US Southern Region Senior Management team, the Director of Commercial and Business Development will create, execute and accelerate the organization's regional commercial and business development strategy, including extending the current market position to ensure increased revenue and operational growth. This position leads a team accountable for:
managing the daily commercial activities and brownfield /greenfield business development for the Company
optimizing revenue and profitability through selling the Company’s services to current and potential customers,
developing commercial business proposals; executing projects leading to positive strategic results.
Additionally, this position will manage the following processes:
gathering, updating, and maintaining market intelligence,
overseeing the Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
managing key customer accounts or sectors, and/or serving as manager of sales and customer service functions.

Requirements
A college degree in business, engineering or other related field
MBA preferred
Experience in a related industry highly desirable
Minimum 7 years of experience in commercial and/or business development
Proven track record of successful revenue growth generation and/or business development success in incubating, developing and closing greenfield/brownfield investment and M&A projects
Ability to build strong and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders aimed at accelerating the company’s growth
Team management of direct reports
Current familiarity with market conditions, including customer and competitor information in the energy, chemical, logistics, or storage industry in the US Gulf Coast Customers and Markets
Working experience of financial concepts such as budgeting, return on investment, cost of goods/services sold, profitability, credit-worthiness, and related concepts, financial modeling and discipline in the use of financial models to support deal structuring and investment decisions
Proven knowledge of sales skills including the ability to influence and negotiate
Working proficiency level in MS Office and/or Google applications
Proficiency in Excellent analytical abilities with ability to apply logical frameworks to complex problems
High level of organization and a structured approach to workload in a fast paced environment
Proficiency in the development, negotiation, and administration of commercial and transactional contracts
Capable of drawing on expertise in relevant groups to structure, negotiate and implement deals
Excellent English communications skills, both oral and written
Task & Responsibilities
Oversees overall sales and business development objectives while identifying business opportunities; initiates and develops business development proposals, investment plans and budgets;
Manages sales and business development staff; develops, trains, motivates, and mentors, sales employees
Develops and implements programs designed to identify brownfield/greenfield growth opportunities and increase market share; understands and develops market share information, research on competitors, customers, and market potential
Identifies growth/ improvement opportunities with existing and new customers/ markets ensuring that the market share and revenues/ profit objectives are realized
Manages and/or participates in mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, new build projects, and major expansions to achieve agreed business development project objectives
Plans, manages multi-disciplinary teams; monitors progression (actions and budget) and realizes business development projects in line with company guidelines
Delivers revenue, financial and investment forecasting, reports and contributes to periodical budget cycles; monitors and adjusts commercial performance
Defines services, enters into contract and manages contracts (performance, cost) with external professionals and/or service providers
Manages contract analysis, analyzes revenues; determines fair market value of services offered
Understands the needs, desires and requirements of the customer and translates those into improvement programs and/or additional services Oversees and manages complaint handling and satisfactory dispute resolution
Participates on regional management team; meets divisional goals & targets; forecasts, reports, budgets, and solves problems
Champions customer service improvement programs; meets with Customer Service and Operations Management as appropriate
Be an advocate and leadership role model of compliance & ethics, SHEQ culture
Proactively establish strategic partnerships along the supply chain and leverage both shareholders resources to achieve cost competitiveness and service flexibility
