What will you do as a Digital Solution & Analytics Manager?

As a Digital Solution & Analytics Manager, you will drive digitalization internally, towards our customers and other supply chain partners. We consider digitalisation crucial for Vopak to store vital products with care, remain “best in port, efficient with real time data” to meet our customers’ expectations, and have our assets in good shape against competitive costs. Moreover, digitalisation is likely to elevate our service and role in the industry beyond a single terminal or port but affects our entire network and therefore strong collaboration is required between other Business Units and global teams.

What do we expect from you as a Digital Solution & Analytics Manager?

• Bachelor’s degree and preferred Master's degree 

• Proven experience in this workfield, a number of years (3-5) in a similar or related position

• Strong analytical and prioritization skills

• Ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels

• Knowledge of the business activities and processes in terminal  operations preferred

• Passion and affinity in development of digital solutions, proven experience is preferred

• Knowledge of the Industrial automation standards ISA 88 and ISA 95

• Acquainted with improvement methodologies like LEAN and Business Process Management

• Acquainted with Information Technology Infrastructure Library  (ITIL)

• Competencies: Customer Orientation, Results Orientation, Business Context awareness, Initiative &, Persuasiveness & Negotiation, Sensitivity, Networking

Your core responsibilities are:

• Drive the identification of the need for digital solutions

• Implement and embed new digital solution releases  

• Drive the implementation of improvement programs in the BU for all digital solutions or other change programs

• Manage the Digital & Analytics team; coaching, development and keeping bench strength up to par

• Manage  the digitization budget including OT components for the BU and monitor the central IT budget portion allocated to the BU. 

• Responsible for the BU Operational automation solutions (SCADA, DCS, gate control systems, etc)

• Maintain and support all OT systems

• Leads and guides terminals in the development of life cycle management systems and/or upgrade of automation/process control projects including project planning activities, development of technical designs and functional specifications. 

• Organizing, securing and embedding of OT Security compliance, including the legal requirements for terminals assigned as vital infrastructure.

• Managing the implementation of OT standards and policies (OT security, alarm management, TA blueprint, TA Toolkit)

• Together with the Global OT Solutions Director helps design and implement the OT Strategy

• Creating value by cost reductions and/or top line improvements by utilizing data analytics

• Lead the development and execution of a BU data-driven strategy in alignment with the Vopak group goals and objectives

• Work closely with key stakeholders across the terminals to identify opportunities for data-driven improvements

• Support the implementation of data-driven projects across the different terminals.

• Collaborate with the Global DNa team to align the BU Data Analytics strategy with the overall business objectives

• Acts as the  senior “Go to” person in the Business Unit for all matters related to digital solutions, also during M&A activities within the BU

• Be the central point of contact for the global digital solution/products teams and for peer Digital Solution and Data Analytic managers for other BU’s

• Partner with BU  process owners (M2O, A2D, O2C, etc) on all digital solution aspects and requirements

• Lead all IT aspects of M&A transactions through cross-functional due diligence, gathering and assessing data to identify risks, as well as informing and developing integration plans, collaborating with global departments, etc
