Business Development Director - LNG

As Business Development Director - LNG, you will play a key role in realizing our ambitions while building both the future of Vopak and your own.

Your Mission

As a Business Developer for LNG, you will identify and initiate project-based capital investments proposals and manage or participate in new business development projects (including greenfield and brownfield), mergers and acquisitions in order to support sustainable growth of the company.

What will you be doing? 

• Identify, pursue, and develop new LNG storage and terminal business opportunities across Southeast Asia and adjacent regions

• Structure and negotiate partnerships, joint ventures, and commercial contracts with customers and key industry stakeholders

• Prepare and present rigorous business cases—highlighting quantitative benefits and risk profiles—to senior leadership

• Lead cross-functional teams, engineering partners, and suppliers to optimize logistics and ensure safe, high-quality, and timely project delivery

• Negotiate and oversee major EPC and customer contracts, ensuring full alignment with business objectives and regulatory compliance

• Guide local project teams through execution to operational readiness.

• Conduct market intelligence to monitor the regional LNG-to-gas landscape and adapt commercial strategies accordingly

• Deliver quarterly LNG market updates and long-term outlook reports to guide strategic decision-making

Does this sound like you?

• You have over 10 years of commercial experience in the LNG industry, with a focus on origination, project development and execution.

• Extensive knowledge of LNG infrastructure development, key stakeholders or companies in the sector, logistics, and regulatory frameworks, either from LNG supply or LNG import projects.

• Proven record & experience ability in leading and managing e complex deal structures, with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.

• Excellent presentation skill

• Demonstrated ability and flexibility to work well with multi disciplinary multi-disciplinary teams both in country and virtually globally

• Familiarity with the nuances of conducting business in the Asia landscape is a must.
