The Business Development Analyst is part of the Europe and Africa Division located in our headquarters in Rotterdam.
 

Tasks & responsibilities:
 

Origination/ analysis
 

Support project origination taking into account:

• Supply demand dynamics

• Customer strategies and their capital allocation

• Regulatory and legislative environment

• Financial modeling

• Scenario analysis

• Tracking technological developments

• Subsidies and incentive schemes

Support project development in preparing:

• Investment proposals

• Legal documentation such as Letter of Intents, Memorandum of Understanding etc

• Business cases 
   

Manage:

• Business development community within EAF

• Relevant stakeholders

• EAF reporting requirements together with other business analyst(s)

Requirements:

• Up-to-date knowledge of market conditions & product developments for oil, chemicals and liquid gasses;

• University degree with at least 3-5 years of working experience, preferably within related industry;

• Affinity with the energy market and the developments around the energy transition;

• Interest in developing capabilities on financial and data modeling;

• Analytical ability to research markets and to translate learnings into strategy/ action; 

• Self-starter, independent, strategic thinker, innovator;

• Strong reading, writing and speaking skills in English;

• Cultural sensibility to interact on an international level both internally and externally;

• Competencies: Customer Orientation, Quality Orientation, Results Orientation, Business Context awareness, Initiative & Entrepreneurship, Persuasiveness & Negotiation, Sensitivity, Networking.
